A Tribute to Janae.

I saved a space here for the girl I used to be. So much of my story and my message is about the beautiful wonders of willful transformation. I want to honor and say goodbye to the parts of me that had to fall away for Indigø Lyon to be born. A goodbye to some of the people that sailed to other shores while always leaving their marks in my heart.

Janae died in 2018. I watched her fall to pieces in my hands and was forced to forge a new skin. But not because I didn't love her. She carried me through every storm. She held on long enough and fought every voice that ever told her to give up. She was strong enough to get the help that birthed my beautiful life. Thank you, Janae. And may you rest in me peacefully.
